New cranes to boost efficiency at Flinders Adelaide container terminal

South Australia’s container terminal operator, Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal, has welcomed the arrival of two new Post-Panamax Liebherr cranes, which were ordered in January 2014, as part of the terminal’s strategic plan.

The cranes berthed at Port Adelaide this morning following a seven-week voyage on the Nomadic Milde, from Liebherr’s manufacturing facility in Ireland.

“Cargill PLC, Frontier Agriculture Ltd and Banks-Cargill Agriculture Ltd, as we were formerly known, have been chartering Carisbrooke’s tonnage for some 15 years.
The homogeneity has grown each year and the existing relationship can only be described as a pillar of strength and the intention going forward is to ensure that is maintained.
The fleet size and various tonnage size available enables us to charter to spot markets as well as lock into forward business where other owners would not consider this viable.
We would just like to take this opportunity to thank all members of their staff for all their valued support over the years and look forward to operating with them for many years to come.”

Frontier Agriculture Ltd

“An excellent working relationship between OCI Fertilizers and Carisbrooke Shipping has developed over the years.
We consider them to be one of our first class service providers, due to their performance, quality and co-operation. We look forward to future growth together.”
